EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg expects very high passenger volumes over the coming weekends, including Ascension Day and Pentecost. Travelers are therefore urged to arrive at the airport early, ideally at least two hours before departure. This will help avoid long wait times at checkpoints for entry and exit.
The airport recommends that passengers familiarize themselves with the entry requirements of their airline and their destination country before arrival and, if necessary, check in online to save time. Since parking spaces are limited, passengers arriving by car are advised to make a reservation in advance or allow sufficient time to find a parking space. Traveling by public transportation is generally recommended.
To expedite the security checkpoint process, travelers should inform themselves in advance about which items belong in their hand and checked baggage and have their travel documents ready. Since the beginning of May 2025, passengers have also had access to an expanded range of dining options in public areas and after security checks, based on the results of passenger surveys and with a greater emphasis on local, healthy, and organic products.
