Hong Kong is giving away 500.000 airline tickets

Some time ago, the Chinese Hong Kong Special Administrative Region bought up numerous flight tickets in order to be able to grab airlines. Now they want to give away 500.000 tickets to visitors from all over the world, but also to their own residents and visitors from mainland China.

With the campaign, Hong Kong wants to boost tourism. According to official figures, the costs of the campaign amount to around 231,7 million euros. The tickets will be distributed from around March 2023. Tourism has collapsed to almost zero due to the strict entry and quarantine regulations.
