Humor takes off: Klagenfurt Airport becomes a comedy stage

Am Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the terminal of the Klagenfurt Airport into an unconventional event location. Under the title “Airport Comedy – The Terminal Show” The hangar will become the stage for four well-known comedians from the German-speaking scene. The event, under the motto "Comedy Takes Off!", begins at 8:00 PM, with doors opening at 7:00 PM.

The program promises a Nonstop laughter flight with a mix of stand-up and cabaret. On the unusual stage between baggage carousels and the gate atmosphere, the comedians Gilbert Blechschmid, Miss Kol, Alex Streicher and Niko Nagl The quartet is firmly established in the Austrian cabaret and comedy scene and is known for its diverse range of humor and programs. The show in Klagenfurt relies on the fascination of an unusual setting to lend the comedians' performances a special setting.

The participating artists bring considerable experience with them. For example, the Klagenfurt stand-up comedian Gilbert Blechschmid Founder and presenter of the humor collective “LachAmol” and regularly organizes local comedy events in Carinthia. Miss Kol – real name Eva A. Kol – is a Bulgarian-born artist who rose to fame in Austria with her solo show "Little Miss Overthinkerbell." Also participating is Alex Streicher, known as a presenter on Antenne Kärnten and for his podcast "Haha lustig," in which he interviews cabaret stars. The Viennese stand-up comedian Niko Nagl completes the line-up. Nagl is considered one of the most up-and-coming talents in German-language cabaret. He has won, among other awards, the Klagenfurt Cabaret Prize in 2022. "Hercules" and received the Silver Stuttgart Broom for his solo show "Goldbube." His style is characterized by sharp social criticism and dark humor. Admission to the comedy event in the airport terminal is €18 in advance and €20 at the door.
