Israeli Ministry of Tourism supports tourists in leaving the country

The Israeli Ministry of Tourism Under the leadership of Minister Haim Katz, the Israeli government has taken measures to facilitate the departure of tourists currently in Israel. This is due to the current security situation. One key measure is the introduction of a digital registration form designed to simplify the coordination of departures.

This digital form will be distributed to tourism operators, hotels, tour guides, and other travel industry stakeholders via various digital platforms. The form collects tourists' full names, telephone numbers, and email addresses, complying with applicable data protection regulations. The collected data will be compiled in a digital vault and, if necessary, transmitted to the National Security Headquarters and the Ministry of Transport. This will facilitate coordination with the relevant airlines to facilitate the departure of the remaining tourists.

Currently, there are still approximately 38.000 tourists in Israel. Although the border crossings to Jordan and Egypt remain open and some travelers are using these routes to leave the country, the Ministry of Tourism is offering additional support. It has set up a virtual office that provides tourists in Israel with information XNUMX/XNUMX via digital channels in Hebrew and English. The ministry is also in close contact with industry representatives, such as hotels and other accommodation providers, to identify tourists who need assistance with their departure due to the situation.

The Ministry of Tourism's initiative underscores Israel's efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors in times of heightened tension. Such support measures are crucial to defusing the situation for stranded travelers and maintaining long-term confidence in Israel as a tourist destination. Coordinated action with national security and transportation authorities is essential in such situations to find effective solutions for tourists' return.
