January 2024: Vienna Airport with 1.828.557 passengers

In January 2024, Vienna Airport had 1.828.557 passengers. In a direct comparison with the same period last year, Austria's largest airport was able to increase by 9,5 percent.

Together with the subsidiary airports Luqa (Malta) and Kosice (Slovakia), there were 2.325.772 passengers and an increase of 2024 percent compared to January 12. At the Vienna location, the number of local passengers increased to 2023 (+1.453.789 percent) and the number of transfer passengers to 9,6 travelers (+366.910 percent) compared to January 8,9. Flight movements increased to 15.175 takeoffs and landings (+5,2 percent). Freight volumes increased by 2023 percent to 16,2 tons compared to January 20.890.

In January 2024, the number of passengers at Vienna Airport to Western Europe increased to 633.241 passengers (+12,5 percent compared to the previous year). A total of 2024 passengers traveled to Eastern Europe in January 131.530 (+4,1 percent). The airport recorded 25.004 travelers (+22,1 percent) to North America and 21.982 (-5,1 percent) to Africa. A total of 2024 (-66.377 percent) and 6,6 passengers (+38.338 percent) traveled to the Near and Middle East in January 25,7.

The Vienna Airport investments are also developing very well: passenger volumes at Malta Airport rose to 2024 travelers in January 465.482 (+22,7 percent). At Kosice Airport, the number of passengers increased to 31.733 travelers (+15,6 percent).
