June 2023: Zurich with 2.596.903 passengers

Zurich Kloten Airport was used by 2023 passengers in June 2.596.903. This was 20 percent above the previous year's figure, but ten percent below the pre-crisis volume.  

The number of local passengers in June 2023 was 1.820.255. The proportion of transfer passengers was 30 percent, which corresponds to 770.162 passengers. In June 2023, 13 percent more flight movements were carried out compared to the same month last year. There were a total of 22.617 take-offs and landings at Switzerland's largest airport. This is around 92 percent of the volume that was achieved in June 2019. 

An average of 136 passengers were on board the aircraft. This means an increase of three percent. The occupancy improved by one percentage point to 82 percent. A total of 29,575 tonnes of freight were handled at Zurich Airport in June. This corresponds to a decrease of 15% compared to the same month last year. Compared to June 2019, 19% less freight was handled.
