The airline Freebird Europe carried out its first flight from Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden to Hurghada on November 7, 2023. There are said to have been 152 passengers on board.

Managing director Uwe Kotzan is pleased that Baden Airpark again has a direct connection to Hurghada after a long interruption. “With this connection and the favorable flight times, FKB now also has attractive package travel options in the winter flight schedule.”

Flights to and from Hurghada are offered on Tuesdays in the winter timetable. Departure is scheduled for 12:50 p.m. and landing in Egypt is scheduled to take place at 18:20 p.m. local time. The flights are operated for tour operators, including Tui, and can be booked individually or as a package tour.
