Klagenfurt Airport hosted a night run for the second time. Around 1.500 participants completed the 5,5-kilometer course on the runway, an increase over the previous year.
The event attracted more participants than the previous year. The net proceeds from the run will benefit the Carinthian Cancer Aid, which has served as a support center for cancer sufferers and their families for over 30 years. The organizers stated that the focus of the run is not on achieving a personal best, but on the joy of exercise.
The event also serves to strengthen the connection between the airport and the region. The airport is connected to the Vienna hub year-round and offers direct connections to tourist destinations such as Mallorca, Alicante, and Cologne in the summer flight schedule.
