Klagenfurt Airport will also be taking part in the international tourism trade fair "Alpe-Adria Fair" in Ljubljana in 2025, which will take place from January 29 to February 1. After a successful premiere last year, the airport is once again using the event to present itself as an alternative for Slovenian travelers. The fair is considered an important industry meeting place for professionals, media and interested visitors and attracts thousands of guests every year.

With over 350 exhibitors from 13 nations, the Alpe-Adria trade fair offers a wide range of tourist offers. Tour operators, hoteliers and leisure service providers present their latest products and services. Klagenfurt Airport is using the opportunity to provide information about its current flight connections and to intensify the exchange with the tourism industry. The focus is particularly on the growing interest of Slovenian travelers in departures from Klagenfurt. According to Managing Director Maximilian Wildt, Slovenian passengers already make up up to 20 percent of air passengers, depending on the destination.

At the press reception on the opening day, the airport presented its expanded flight offerings. Destinations include Vienna, London, Hamburg, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, Cologne, Hanover and Paros. Above all, the airport's easy accessibility from Slovenia and the growing number of direct connections make Klagenfurt an attractive option for travelers from the neighboring country. Wildt sees great potential for further growth and stronger connections with the Slovenian market.

The organizers of the Alpe-Adria Messe expect a new visitor record in 2025 with over 20.000 guests. Klagenfurt Airport is counting on its expanded offering to appeal to more Slovenian passengers and to strengthen the region's importance as a starting point for international air travel.
