Klagenfurt: Fuels no longer available for cash or credit card payment

Since January 1, 2023, the fuels at Klagenfurt Airport are no longer supplied by Shell, but by OMV. In the field of general aviation, however, this is not a pleasure, because neither cash nor debit or credit cards are accepted for payment, only special fuel cards.

According to a report in the "Kleine Zeitung", this should lead to problems, especially for private pilots and a flight school, who often pay in cash or by credit card. According to this, two private planes are said to be stuck because they are supposed to receive fuel – not even for cash – due to the lack of a fuel card.
