The German holiday airline Condor announces the start of a connection between Leipzig/Halle and Athens. This is to be served from April 18, 2022 on Monday and Thursday traffic days with Airbus A321.

“We are pleased that with Athens we can offer our customers a new destination from Leipzig. With the new connection and the increase in our overall flight capacities, we are offering our guests a varied flight program for the summer - and are further expanding our close partnership with Leipzig/Halle Airport," says Condor boss Ralf Teckentrup.

With up to 41 weekly departures to 12 destinations, Condor is the number one holiday airline at Leipzig/Halle Airport, according to the airport. In addition to the new destination of Athens, there are also flights to the holiday regions of Antalya, Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Las Palmas, Funchal, Heraklion, Hurghada, Corfu, Kos, Rhodes and Mallorca.

"We are very pleased that Condor, as our most important partner in tourist transport, is continuing to grow at the Leipzig/Halle location and is expanding its offer," says Götz Ahmelmann, CEO of Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG, adding: "Athens is not only an exciting metropolis for City trips on offer, but also attractive transfer options to many Greek islands.”
