Leipzig: Lufthansa discontinues Munich connection

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Leipzig/Halle Airport will not be connected to the Lufthansa Munich hub in the 2024 summer flight schedule. The route will be discontinued – at least temporarily – on March 31, 2024.

The Kranich Group's justification is similar to that regarding the Frankfurt flights Friedrichshafen, Linz and Innsbruck. The capacity would be needed elsewhere due to the problems with the Pratt & Whitney engines in the A320neo series fleet. As of March 1, 2024, connections to the Romanian airports Cluj and Timișoara from Frankfurt am Main will also be suspended.
