Leipzig/Halle with new non-Schengen arrival area

Advertising

Last week, Leipzig/Halle Airport officially opened an expansion of the non-Schengen arrival zone. The area is around 900 square meters in size and also houses additional counters for passport and customs controls.

The operator expects that the Federal Police will be able to carry out the necessary entry checks more quickly in the future because more counters will be available. An additional waiting area including toilets has also been created. Most recently, passengers had to wait longer in some cases when arriving from non-Schengen destinations in Leipzig/Halle. It is also said to have become quite tight again and again.
