Passenger flight operations in Linz were largely idle due to the corona pandemic. Now there is also a comeback in Upper Austria.

Life is returning to the passenger terminal at Linz Airport. While freight traffic continued unrestricted throughout the crisis, passenger traffic came to a virtual standstill. The airport is all the more looking forward to the comeback of the first charter flights. Croatia is the start: From June 27, 2020, the Croatian island of Brač will be served again.

In addition to Croatia, the tour operators are also planning flights to Greece and Bulgaria from the end of July. The organizers' airline partners are Bulgarian Air Charter and Corendon. On the plan are Kos, Lefkas / Preveza, Zakynthos, Rhodes, Heraklion and Burgas. There is also good news for the Canary Islands: With the start of the winter flight schedule, Corendon Airlines will connect Las Palmas (Saturdays) with Linz. In the meantime, Egypt, Turkey and Palma de Mallorca are still "in the queue" due to the ongoing travel restrictions.

There is still uncertainty about air traffic to Düsseldorf and Frankfurt: “So far, there is no specific date for the resumption of scheduled flight connections to Düsseldorf or Frankfurt. The airport expects that both connections will be offered again in autumn, albeit with fewer frequencies than before the Corona crisis, ”the airport informs.
