Lufthansa: City Airlines still on hold

Advertising

The youngest Lufthansa offshoot City Airlines took over the first machine, but has not yet started flight operations. It could stay that way for some time.

According to a report in the Handelsblatt, the start-up is said to be suffering from an acute shortage of pilots and aircraft. This has meant that the original schedule can no longer be met. With the D-AILX, the first Airbus A319 was recently registered on the new AOC, but there is still no specific date for the first commercial flight of the Cityline clone.
