Lufthansa decided on Saturday that Russian airspace would no longer be used with immediate effect. As a result, connections LH718 (Munich-Seoul) and LH716 (Frankfurt-Haneda) via Russia and Estonia are reversed.
The cargo airlines Aerologic and DHL have also decided to stop flying over the Russian Federation. Corresponding flights that were already in the air are reversed.
Lufthansa announced that the airspace of the Russian Federation will not be used for at least seven days. This also means that point-to-point flights are suspended. On Sunday, the German Federal Ministry of Transport announced that from 15:00 p.m. all Russian aircraft would no longer be allowed to use German airspace. As a result, the Putin regime is now banning German airlines and planes.
