In the 2024 summer flight schedule, Lufthansa will no longer offer the destination Rio de Janeiro from Munich, but from Frankfurt am Main. At the same time, the number of weekly circulations is increased.

The Bavarian airport currently offers three rotations per week. In the summer of 2024 there should be six weekly trips from Frankfurt am Main. In the future, the route will no longer be served with Airbus A350-900s, but with Airbus A340s and Boeing 787-9s.
