Lufthansa takes five CRJ-1000s from Cityjet into wet lease

In the 2024 summer flight schedule, Lufthansa will wet lease a total of five Bombardier CRJ-1000s from Cityjet. These are stationed in Frankfurt am Main and used on numerous routes.

According to a report from CH-Aviation.com, the rented aircraft will be used from the largest Lufthansa hub to Geneva, Basel, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Münster/Osnabrück, Dresden, Leipzig/Halle, Zagreb and Ljubljana, among others.

With the wet lease aircraft, the Kranich Group wants to at least partially compensate for capacity bottlenecks that arise, among other things, from the failure of numerous aircraft in the A320neo series. But this has no influence the discontinuation of Frankfurt flights from Friedrichshafen, Linz and Innsbruck.
