Malta had more tourists than ever before

For Malta, the year 2023 was extremely successful from a tourism perspective, as it not only reached the pre-crisis volume, but also significantly exceeded the peak from 2019.

According to official figures, Malta had well over three million tourists in 2023. This exceeded the record set in 2019 by eight percent. The Ministry of Tourism is also pleased that the number of overnight stays exceeded the pre-crisis level by 5,6 percent and amounted to 20 million overnight stays.
