Travelers from northwest Germany will benefit from a significant increase in flight connections from Bremen to Greece. The airline Sundair now offers four weekly flights to the Greek islands. Rhodes is served every Wednesday and Sunday. The largest flight offering in the future will be to Crete, which currently operates on Thursdays and Saturdays. The flight frequency to Heraklion on Crete is to be gradually increased in preparation for the summer.
In addition to Sundair's service, Aegean Airlines will also fly from Bremen to Crete every Sunday starting May 25. Two weeks later, another Friday flight will be added, and from the beginning of July, the island will also be served on Wednesdays. Dr. Marc Cezanne, Managing Director of Bremen Airport, is pleased about the improved connection and emphasizes that thanks to Sundair and Aegean Airlines, seven weekly flights will be offered from Bremen to the Aegean Sea until October.
Crete attracts visitors with its variety of sandy and palm-lined beaches, lagoons, and cultural attractions such as the Palace of Knossos and the Samaria Gorge. Hikers will also find their money's worth in the Psiloritis massif. Rhodes, meanwhile, boasts consistently warm temperatures and 300 days of sunshine a year. In addition to miles of sandy beaches, it also offers cultural highlights such as the medieval Old Town of Rhodes Town and the Acropolis of Lindos, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. Both islands thus promise an attractive combination of beach vacation and cultural exploration.
