Morocco relaxed its entry requirements yesterday. If it was previously mandatory to provide evidence of a full corona vaccination and a negative PCR test, one of the two certificates will now suffice.

Vaccinated people no longer have to undergo a corona test, while unvaccinated people without Moroccan citizenship have been allowed to enter the country by air for the first time since the beginning of the corona restrictions. So far, the Moroccan authorities have only allowed fully vaccinated foreigners aged six and over to enter the North African country by plane. For this purpose, a negative PCR test was also required of them. Since May 18, those entering the country have had the choice: either they present a valid corona vaccination card or they have a negative PCR test that is no more than 72 hours old.

However, the digital health declaration "Fiche Sanitaire" must still be completed by all travelers. According to the Maghreb Post, the Moroccan government has also raised the age of children exempt from any obligation to provide proof from six to twelve.

Morocco recognizes travelers from the age of 18 as fully vaccinated if they have received at least two doses of vaccination and the administration of the last vaccination is no longer than four months ago. With the Johnson & Johnson preparation, the single dose is equivalent to two doses of the other vaccines. If those entering the country have been vaccinated three times, this protection applies indefinitely. Young people between the ages of twelve and 18 only have to prove that they have had two doses of the vaccine; they do not have to wait four months.
