Münster/Osnabrück Airport was able to process a total of 2023 passengers between April and October 841.000. Compared to the same period last year, the volume increased by 16 percent and exceeded the volume recorded in 2019.

The reasons for the significant growth in passenger numbers can be seen above all in an extremely strong tourist flight schedule with a focus on high-frequency service to particularly high-volume destinations and in very good aircraft utilization. The most popular travel destinations during the summer months included Palma de Mallorca with 263.000 passengers, Antalya with 239.000 and the Lufthansa destinations Munich and Frankfurt with a total of 161.000 passengers.

During the autumn holidays in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the airport had 149.600 passengers. According to the company's own information, October 2023 was the busiest month since 2011. The second week of October recorded more than 35.000 passengers, making it the busiest week at the FMO in 12 years.
