Munich Airport: Validity of expansion plan confirmed

Advertising

Munich Airport GmbH (FMG) has successfully submitted an application to the Government of Upper Bavaria to confirm the validity of the 98th amended plan approval decision.

The decision stated that FMG has already begun implementing the resolution. This includes projects such as the construction of the S-Bahn tunnel for the Erdinger Ringschluss, the expansion of the road network to the east of the airport and the creation of new parking positions for aircraft in the eastern apron.

These measures do not automatically invalidate the amendment plan after ten years. The FMG's application was solely intended to clarify the legal status and is not related to plans to build a third runway.
