From November 27 to December 1, 2024, the Food & Life trade fair will present a wide selection of culinary offerings and regional specialties at the Munich exhibition center. Around 250 exhibitors from various European regions will present their handcrafted products in Hall A4.

The special program includes tasting tours, cooking shows and a "Christmas bakery" for families, where children can decorate cookies with Kuchentratsch. The trade fair takes place parallel to Heim+Handwerk and expects visitor interest from all over Germany over five days.

This year's Food Start.up Area highlights creative ideas from the gastronomy scene: A total of 20 start-ups are presenting new concepts such as energy chewing gum, kombucha from Munich and vegan instant curry sauces. The best innovative start-ups will be honored by a jury of experts with the "Foodchanger 2024" award. The prize will be awarded on November 30th at 11 a.m. on the cooking stage.

Another highlight of the fair are guided tasting tours by the Munich-based company Weis(s)er Stadtvogel, where visitors can learn interesting facts about the production of regional products at selected stations and try them directly. Registration takes place via the provider's website.

On the cooking stage, well-known personalities such as Veronique Witzigmann and Antje de Vries offer live insights into their culinary secrets. In addition, the start-up Good Crop presents regional pulses and grains as ready meals and is committed to sustainable nutrition. The Munich Nutrition Council and Slow Food Munich also provide information about their projects and the importance of regional food.

The fair is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. and can be entered via the East Entrance. Visitors can purchase online tickets in advance for 15 euros (reduced 9 euros), while children up to 12 years of age have free entry.
