New non-stop connection from Hamburg to Yerevan with Wizz Air

Advertising

Hamburg will have a new non-stop connection starting in October. The Hungarian airline Wizz Air will fly non-stop to the Armenian capital Yerevan three times a week from Hamburg Airport. This new connection expands Hamburg's international offerings with a previously inaccessible destination in the Caucasus and underscores Wizz Air's growth at the northern German airport.

The new route will operate year-round on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. In October, the flight departs from Hamburg at 10:00 a.m., and from November onwards, the departure time will be brought forward to 9:15 a.m. The return flight from Yerevan is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. The flight time is between four and a half and five hours, depending on the season and wind conditions. Tickets for the new route can be booked from just €69,99 via the Wizz Air website and app, as well as through travel agencies.

Dirk Behrens, Head of Aviation at Hamburg Airport, expressed his delight at the new connection: "With the new direct connection to Yerevan, we are opening up another fascinating country to our passengers in the route network from Hamburg Airport. Armenia inspires with its rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and warm hospitality. We are delighted that Wizz Air is continuously expanding its offerings from Hamburg, thus creating even more attractive destinations for northern Germany." With the addition of Yerevan, Wizz Air's route network from Hamburg now grows to ten direct destinations. Connections to Kutaisi (Georgia) and Sibiu (Romania) were recently added.

The new direct connection allows travelers from Hamburg and northern Germany to reach Yerevan, one of the oldest cities in the world and the cultural center of the Caucasus, conveniently and non-stop for the first time. Yerevan boasts a rich history, impressive sights such as the Cascade and Republic Square, and a vibrant culinary scene. The new flight connection makes exploring the diverse facets of Armenia much easier.
