Non-stop flights connect southern Germany and Switzerland with Usedom again

Heringsdorf Airport on the island of Usedom is once again offering non-stop flights from southern Germany and Switzerland during the current flight season. As Usedom Tourism announced at the start of the season, the route from Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance and the connection from Zurich will be operated on Saturdays. This marks the first time the flight connection to Switzerland has been available since 2019.

In addition to the two new or relaunched routes, non-stop flights to and from Kassel, Mannheim, Frankfurt, and Luxembourg will also be offered again this season, also on Saturdays. The scheduled flight season at Heringsdorf Airport began on May 3 and runs until the end of October. According to the airport operator, the airport recorded approximately 21.700 scheduled flight passengers last year.

The resumption of non-stop flights from Switzerland and the continued availability of connections from key southern and western German cities underscore the importance of Heringsdorf Airport for tourism on the island of Usedom. These direct flights facilitate travel for holidaymakers from these regions and contribute to the attractiveness of the Baltic Sea island as a travel destination. The new connections, particularly to Zurich, are expected to contribute to a further increase in passenger numbers this season.
