The Irish airline Ryanair has launched a new non-stop service between Bremen in northwest Germany and the Croatian coastal city of Zadar on the Adriatic. Effective immediately, travelers can fly from Bremen to Zadar twice a week in less than two hours. The new route complements Bremen Airport's flight schedule with an attractive destination that is considered an ideal starting point for a vacation on the Dalmatian coast and the offshore islands.
Flights depart from Bremen Airport every Wednesday at 18:25 p.m. and Saturday at 08:25 a.m. Zadar, a city with around 70.000 inhabitants, boasts a mild Mediterranean climate and a picturesque old town. Visitors will find a fascinating mix of ancient Roman ruins and Venetian architecture, conveying an authentic Croatian experience. In addition to cultural attractions, Zadar offers regional cuisine with fresh fish and seafood dishes, traditionally enjoyed with the local cherry liqueur "Maraschino." The coastal city's characteristic pebble beaches invite you to swim in the sea and sunbathe. Various music and art events also enrich Zadar's cultural offerings during the tourist season.
The new non-stop connection from Bremen to Zadar significantly expands travel options for holidaymakers from northwest Germany. Until now, travelers typically had to endure stopovers and longer travel times to reach the Zadar region. With the new non-stop flight, Ryanair now offers a fast and convenient alternative. Zadar itself is not only an attractive holiday destination, but also an important transport hub for onward travel to numerous islands off the Croatian coast, such as Pag, Dugi Otok, and the Kornati Islands. These islands are known for their untouched nature, picturesque bays, and crystal-clear waters. The introduction of the route is therefore likely to be of interest to city travelers, beach vacationers, and water sports enthusiasts, further increasing the region's tourist appeal.
