North Rhine-Westphalia: Airports start summer holidays smoothly

The airports in North Rhine-Westphalia have successfully started the summer and holiday season. The start of the holidays was successfully initiated.

At Düsseldorf Airport, security checks at the start of the holidays are routine and there are only short waiting times. Düsseldorf Airport is expecting 75.000 passengers on Sunday, as the Aero.de portal reports. For the entire summer holidays, the airport is expecting 3,3 million passengers, an increase of six percent compared to last year. Dortmund Airport is also expecting a successful summer season, as evidenced by the expected 400.000 passengers. Dortmund Airport is expecting 27.000 passengers from Friday to Sunday.
