The holiday airline Condor last headed for Nuremberg Airport in 2018. However, there were no regular scheduled flights, instead they were chartered for FTI. The airport is therefore pleased that the carrier will be a regular guest at this airport from April 9, 2022.

Condor will operate a seasonal route to Palma de Mallorca. According to a declaration by Nuremberg Airport, the aircraft type Airbus A330-200, which has 262 seats, will also be used. The long-haul aircraft also has 22 business class seats. Initially, Nuremberg-Palma is to be served four times a week. Daily rotations are planned from the end of May to mid-October 2022.

“The pent-up demand for vacation trips will be huge in the coming summer. With the significantly increased flight frequency, we are responding to the strong demand from tour operators, travel agencies and individual travelers and are offering more connections to Mallorca than ever before, ”said Ralf Teckentrup, CEO of Condor. "We are pleased to be able to add Nuremberg to our already existing flights and to be able to offer our guests ideal connections to the Germans' favorite destination from there."

From Nuremberg, the Mallorca offer is growing significantly, because early bookers can already secure their direct flight to the Balearic island with Corendon Airlines, Eurowings and Ryanair. In midsummer there are four airlines and over 40 weekly departures to Palma de Mallorca to choose from at Albrecht Dürer Airport. Also on the flight schedule with Corendon Airlines from May: the sister island of Ibiza.
