The Bavarian Nuremberg Airport expects around 600 take-offs and landings during the Christmas holidays. Between December 23, 2021 and January 9, 2022, around 100.000 seats will be offered in scheduled and charter services. After that, it should be quieter in Nuremberg, because many providers will be thinning out their offer from around January 10, 2022.

Most of the flights are offered by Ryanair, Corendon Airlines and Wizz Air. The most popular winter destinations are Mallorca (with Ryanair and Eurowings), Antalya (with Corendon and SunExpress) and Hurghada (with Corendon and Air Cairo). The big European hubs can be used all over the world, for example up to three times a day with KLM via Amsterdam, with Turkish Airlines via Istanbul or with Air France via Paris.

For the time after the Christmas holidays, things are not looking so rosy in Nuremberg either. Among other things, Ryanair is temporarily suspending connections to London-Stansted and Palermo. Other airlines operating from this airport are also having to bow to the currently prevailing decline in demand in Europe and are reducing their offers significantly in some cases.
