Passenger numbers at Zurich Airport will increase by seven percent in April 2024

In April 2024, Zurich Airport recorded strong growth in passenger numbers. A total of 2.620.051 passengers flew, an increase of 7% compared to the same period last year.

Spring break in particular contributed to this increase, with the number of local passengers reaching 1.861.331. Despite the increase, seat occupancy was 80% in the month under review, a decline of one percentage point compared to the previous year. Flight movements also rose by 7% to 21.967 takeoffs or landings. In addition to passengers, the airport also saw an increase in cargo traffic, with a 10% increase to a total of 34.740 tons of cargo in April 2024.
