In the Pilatus Aircraft Important personnel changes are planned at the management level and on the Board of Directors. Next spring, Bruno Cervia, the company's long-standing Head of Development, was proposed to the Annual General Meeting for election as a new member of the Board of Directors. His previous operational role as Vice President Engineering will be taken over by Igor Medici as of January 1, 2026. These two appointments are intended to consolidate the strategic and operational strength of the organization and underline its future orientation.
Bruno Cervia has headed the Research and Development division as a member of the Executive Board and Deputy CEO since 2009. Cervia joined the company in 1986 as a graduate aerodynamicist and has held various positions within the company throughout his career. As Chief Development Officer, he played a key role in the development of successful aircraft types, including the PC-24 , the PC-7 MKX , and the latest version of the PC-12 – the PC-12 PRO . He currently leads an international team of approximately 500 engineers dedicated to Pilatus' development projects. From spring 2026, he will contribute his extensive expertise at a strategic level to the Board of Directors.
Igor Medici, also an experienced research and development professional, will succeed Bruno Cervia as Vice President of Engineering. Medici, originally from Ticino, has been with the company since 2009 and holds a Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering. He currently leads a team of approximately 100 employees focused on new aircraft development projects. Hansueli Loosli , Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pilatus, emphasized that Cervia's extensive engineering experience is an ideal addition to the board and that Medici is an exceptionally well-suited successor for the operational role.
Furthermore, Ioannis Papachristofilou , a member of the Executive Board and Head of the Government Aviation business unit since 2024, will assume the role of Deputy CEO under Bruno Cervia on January 1, 2026. These comprehensive personnel changes are intended to ensure the company's continued development and stability in the aviation industry.
