The airline Delta Air Lines has received the Platinum Award from Cirium in the United States of America for the third time in a row. The carrier was particularly honored for its punctuality.

"Our employees put us at the top of the industry in terms of punctuality, enabling us to deliver the welcoming, upscale and attentive service that our brand stands for," said Delta COO Mike Spanos. "Thank you to all 100.000 Delta colleagues for the outstanding performance in 2023 and for continuing in the new year."

In addition to receiving the Cirium Platinum Award, Delta also tops the rankings as the most punctual airline in North America. In 2023, Cirium recorded 1.635.486 Delta flights, of which 84,72 percent arrived on time - an increase of 1,09 percentage points from the previous year.

This means that the reliability of the US airline exceeds industry standards in North America. Of the over eight million flights tracked by Cirium in 2023, 74,45 percent arrived on time. Delta's on-time percentage was 2,47 percentage points higher than its nearest North American competitor.
