In the 2024 summer flight schedule, the airlines operating from Memmingen Airport will fly to around 50 destinations. Ryanair subsidiary Malta Air is increasing the number of aircraft stationed locally to four Boeing 737s.
If you are currently planning a trip, you shouldn't do it without Memmingen Airport. With the start of the summer flight schedule on March 31st, southern Germany's leading low-cost airport offers over 50 attractive destinations in Europe and beyond. Including some new products.
Whether it's a summer sun trip, a city and discovery trip or a visit to friends and relatives - the new flight schedule spans a dense network across Europe. This brings the travel destination Croatia a little closer to the Allgäu. From April 2nd we will be going to Dubrovnik for the first time and from June 1st we will be going to Pula on Istria. Another Croatia destination is Zadar, which was already served by the airline Ryanair last summer. Rhodes and Sarajevo are celebrating comebacks. The capital of Bosnia will return to the flight schedule from April 4, 2024. Ryanair will start its flights to the popular Greek holiday island of Rhodes on April 1st, which will also be served by Aegean Airlines from Memmingen every Saturday during the summer holidays from August 3rd to September 28th. On behalf of the travel group TUI, the airline will be flying twice a week to Heraklion on Crete from May 21st, which can also be reached from Memmingen via Chania airport.
Another premiere for the new summer season is the flight to Tangier, Morocco, on Easter Sunday. The Mediterranean-style port city in the north of the country is an ideal starting point for exploring the country and is now flown to twice a week.
If you love islands, Memmingen is the right place. Because numerous islands are getting closer non-stop. From April 28th you can get to Corsica again every Sunday with the Vorarlberg travel expert Rhomberg and Avanti Air. Cyprus, Sicily, Malta, Tenerife and Mallorca (from April 3rd with Eurowings) are also on the flight schedule. City trips are still in demand. In addition to classics such as London, Dublin and Rome, which are served by both Ryanair and Wizz Air, insider tips such as Krakow, Tirana, Riga, Porto and Belgrade also promise exciting discoveries.
The airline Ryanair has now responded to the constantly increasing demand at Memmingen Airport and stationed a fourth Boeing aircraft at Germany's highest commercial airport. “This is a pleasing confirmation of our successful collaboration,” comments Airport Managing Director Ralf Schmid. Last year there was an increase in passengers of almost 42 percent to 2,8 million. This year, around three million passengers are expected. With the start of the summer flight schedule, the additional aircraft increases the annual capacity by around 360.000 seats. They don't just serve new goals. On top of that, frequencies will also be increased on very well-booked routes – for example to Malta, Brindisi, Valencia and Lamezia Terme.
