Ryanair celebrated the opening of a new engineering training academy at Prestwick Airport in Scotland on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

Ryanair plans to invest five million pounds. The new academy will provide jobs for around 500 engineers, mechanics and technical support staff. The academy includes modern classrooms, workshops and a training aircraft to train specialists for the maintenance of the Ryanair fleet. The company plans to expand the fleet massively. Within ten years, the number of aircraft is to increase to around 800. The new facility will also support the existing maintenance facilities at the Prestwick site.
