Salzburg Airport relies on fully electric ground power devices

Salzburg Airport is now providing eight fully electric Ground Power Units (GPUs) to supply aircraft on the ground with electricity.

The devices, rented from HiSERV, enable the on-board electronics and air conditioning systems to be supplied without the engines running. This ensures a flexible power supply, especially in the winter season. With this measure, the airport is implementing an EU requirement and establishing itself as a pioneer in Austria.
