Schauinsland-reisen is the first tour operator to use the new platform Calisto Ancillary from the IT service provider Airxelerate. This allows travel agencies to integrate additional services such as seat reservations, additional luggage or meals into bookings directly via their reservation system. After an extensive test phase, sales manager Detlef Schroer is convinced of the results.
The implementation of the new booking platform Calisto | Ancillary promises to significantly simplify the booking process for travel agencies and customers. Previously, additional services had to be booked separately, but that is now a thing of the past. Customers can now reserve special seats or register additional luggage within a booking.
The new booking tool is already available for bookings with SunExpress and Air Cairo flights and will also be used by other airlines such as Sundair and Eurowings in the future. The platform, presented by Airxelerate at the end of January, was implemented by Schauinsland-Reisen after a successful test phase. Detlef Schroer emphasizes that not only will the service for customers and travel agencies be improved, but the sales partners' earning potential will also increase, as additional flight services booked using the new tool will also be commissioned.
