To mark its 100th anniversary, Stuttgart Airport held a large suitcase auction on Sunday, November 10, 2024. 100 suitcases went under the hammer, auctioned by the Eppli auction house. All proceeds will go to non-profit organizations in the region, including the Fildertafel eV and Frauen helfen Frauen Filder eV associations.

The event attracted numerous visitors who were generous in supporting the fundraising goals. The suitcase auction, in which hidden items in the luggage increased the appeal of the auction, took place in four rounds. In addition to the auction, a supporting program with competitions, customs dog demonstrations and children's activities provided entertainment. In view of the large number of visitors, the airport recommended arriving by public transport, but also provided discounted parking.

This anniversary event marked a highlight for Stuttgart Airport and, after several pandemic-related cancellations, once again set an example for social cohesion and support for local aid projects.
