Stuttgart Airport expects high levels of activity at the start of the holiday season

At the start of the summer holidays in Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart Airport is preparing for a rush. The busiest day is expected to be Monday, July 29, 2024, with 260 flight movements.

Popular travel destinations are Palma de Mallorca and Antalya, each with around 400 scheduled connections. For travelers who prefer cooler weather, there are flights to Stockholm, Sylt and Keflavik. New to the flight schedule are connections with Volotea to Bordeaux and with Eurowings to Tunis and Tbilisi.

Longer waiting times at security checkpoints can be expected during peak times in the morning and afternoon. Travellers are therefore advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure in order to get through passenger screening in time.

For a relaxed journey to the airport, public transport is a good option, as it provides good access to the national airport. Drivers should note the Kiss & Fly rule, which allows parking in front of the terminal for up to 8 minutes free of charge. Long-term parking passengers can benefit from special summer offers, such as free parking for the first hour in parking lot P0.
