For the first time in many years, the Swiss airline has announced the addition of new long-haul destinations. Next year there will also be flights from Zurich to Washington (Dulles) and Toronto (Pearson). On the short-haul route we are now heading towards Kosice and Cluj.

In the future, the US capital will be accessible non-stop from Zurich all year round with Airbus A330 aircraft. According to Swiss, this route will be operated daily. The first flight is announced for March 28, 2024. The Toronto flights will follow on May 10, 2024 and will be operated daily with Airbus A330s, except on Mondays and Wednesdays.

“After the pandemic, it has become even clearer that travel is a deep-rooted human need, especially among younger generations. Demand is constantly increasing and our flights are busier than ever before. As a Swiss airline, we connect Switzerland with the world and offer our passengers a high-quality premium offering. We are very pleased that we will be able to expand our network again next summer on both short- and long-haul routes. We are committed to balanced growth that meets our responsibility towards our passengers, society and the environment,” explains Swiss CCO Tamur Goudarzi Pour.

The European route network will be expanded to include the destinations Cluj and Kosice in the 2024 summer flight schedule. Both destinations are to be served three times a week with the Airbus A220 aircraft. Taking into account the announced new additions, the offer will grow to 2024 destinations in summer 113. These are spread across 67 European destinations and 24 long-haul destinations from Zurich as well as from Geneva New York and 43 cities on the short-haul route.
