After carefully examining the security situation in the Middle East, the Swiss airline Swiss has decided to temporarily suspend its flights to Tel Aviv until Wednesday, September 4th.

This decision is a precautionary measure due to the current situation in the region. In addition, flights to Beirut will be suspended until the end of October, although this measure is due to commercial reasons and not due to security concerns in Lebanon. The decision to suspend the affected flights applies not only to Swiss, but also to the other airlines in the Lufthansa Group.

Swiss continues to fly to the north-eastern part of Iranian airspace, but avoids the rest of Iranian airspace as well as the airspace over Iraq and Israel. The airline is continuously monitoring developments in the Middle East and is in close contact with the relevant authorities. The decision on resuming the affected connections will be made in due course.
