The crane offshoot will also fly again within Switzerland from July 2020. The carrier is expanding its summer offer from Geneva and Zurich.

The Lufthansa subsidiary Swiss published its updated flight offer for the current summer flight schedule on Monday. The carrier is increasing the number of flights from Zurich and Geneva on both short and long-haul routes. Swiss wants to fly around 40 percent of the originally planned offer by the end of October.

From Zurich, Swiss will add 12 European routes to its program in July, including Bilbao and Alicante in Spain, Venice (Italy), Cork (Ireland) and Oslo (Norway). The connections to Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, Westerland), Portugal (Lisbon, Porto), France (Nice), Serbia (Belgrade), Ireland (Dublin) and Austria (Vienna) will be significantly strengthened from Zurich.

From Geneva, Swiss is adding another 24 European routes to its program, including numerous tourist destinations in southern Europe. In Greece, SWISS flies again to Heraklion, Kalamata, Corfu, Kos, Mykonos, Thessaloniki and Zakynthos, in Italy to Brindisi, Catania, Florence and Olbia and in Spain to Alicante, Menorca and Valencia. In addition, the frequencies to Athens (Greece), Faro, Lisbon and Porto in Portugal, Frankfurt (Germany) and Pristina (Kosovo) will be increased.

The Zurich-Geneva connection will also be resumed in July. 12 weekly flights are planned for July and August, and 21 for September and October. This means that passengers from Geneva will again have seamless access to numerous intercontinental destinations from Zurich. As of July, Swiss will again be flying to São Paulo (Brazil), Shanghai (China), Montreal (Canada) and Tel Aviv (Israel). In July, the carrier will serve a total of 13 long-haul destinations from Zurich and in October 18.
