An association has submitted a popular initiative to the canton of Zurich that aims to ensure that no flight movements are allowed at Switzerland's largest airport after 23 p.m.

Zurich Airport is subject to a ban on night flights, but there is a grace period between 23 p.m. and 00:23 p.m. during which take-off and landing can take place without special permission. Only then are official exemptions necessary. The “Fair in Air” association wants to take action against this and has collected at least 30 signatures for this purpose.
