This year's summer season offers an unprecedented variety of options for travelers looking to explore new destinations or return to their favorite places. According to the latest ticket trends, the destinations for this summer season are truly global and include popular seaside resorts as well as exotic locations and cities ideal for sightseeing.

Although New York, Malta, Los Angeles, Madeira and Denpasar in Bali top the list of the top five destinations, interest is not limited to these places. This season highlights the trend of expanding travel horizons with high demand for tickets to other distant but equally tempting destinations: Malaga, Split, Burgas, Larnaca, Olbia, Thessaloniki, Antalya, Tenerife and Las Palmas. Vancouver, Seattle, Tokyo, Hanoi, Bangkok, Maldives, San Francisco, Miami, London, Barcelona, Lisbon, Dublin and Paris.

One of the most positive trends this year has been the drop in airfares to certain destinations, making travel more affordable for the general public. For example, average flight prices to Las Palmas fell by 5%, to Malaga by 10%, to Malta by 17%, to Thessaloniki by 18% and to Split by 6%. On the other hand, prices for flights to Olbia and Antalya increased by 24% and 19% respectively, reflecting changes in demand and competition in the market.

“It is important to check exactly what is included in the ticket price, especially when it comes to baggage restrictions. Most attractive tariffs today only include one piece of hand luggage weighing up to 8 kg as standard. However, in many cases, an additional piece of luggage can be checked for an affordable surcharge,” says Martina Hrnčířová, Sales Director at Student Agency Travel.

For a smooth travel experience, we recommend registering for online check-in to not only save time at the airport but also avoid possible complications. At the same time, it is advisable to secure a parking space at the airport in good time, especially in times of high passenger traffic when parking capacity can be completely exhausted. When choosing savings tariffs, it should be borne in mind that these offers often exclude the possibility of changes. If changes are possible, a fee will usually be charged, which is usually 100 USD/EUR per change but may be higher.

If you start planning your trip at least 3 to 4 months in advance, you can save significantly. Flexibility in travel dates and a willingness to fly from other airports can also result in significant savings. Don’t forget to consider the “layover” option, which allows you to explore another destination without having to buy another ticket.
