Travel and Taylor Swift concerts lead to traffic disruptions in Austria

The ARBÖ also expects heavy traffic on Austria's roads this weekend, despite the lack of traffic-intensive events - with the exception of the Taylor Swift concerts.

Increased traffic volumes are expected, particularly on Saturday. The main traffic jams include the West Autobahn (A1) near Salzburg, the Innkreis Autobahn (A8) in the construction site area between Ried and Ort, and the Tauern Autobahn (A10) before the Katschberg tunnel. Further bottlenecks are expected on the Karawanks Autobahn (A11) before the Karawanks Tunnel, the Inntal Autobahn (A12) before Kufstein, and the Brenner Autobahn (A13) between Innsbruck and Schönberg.

At the same time, Taylor Swift is selling out the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna for three days. From August 8th to 10th, the American singer will be performing as part of her "The Eras Tour", which will lead to heavy traffic, particularly on the Südosttangente (A23) and the Ostautobahn (A4). The ARBÖ advises visitors to use public transport to avoid traffic jams and parking problems.
