In the middle of the extensive area of Vienna's Augarten, a new summer pop-up called "open airThis project, initiated by Paul Rittenauer and curated by Danielle Spera, invites visitors to experience contemporary art, diverse culinary offerings, and a broad cultural program in the open air until August 31, 2025. The initiative aims to create a relaxed meeting place for art and culinary lovers.

Paul Rittenauer, the project's initiator, emphasized the objective: "'Freiluft' stands for everything that makes a successful summer in Vienna: art, good food, and shared experiences in a relaxed atmosphere. We are creating an open space in which creativity, enjoyment, and encounters naturally combine – surrounded by greenery, in the heart of the city." The opening will center on an open-air exhibition featuring sculptures and installations by a total of 18 artists, including well-known names such as Stylianos Schicho, Lisa Grosskopf, and Billi Thanner. The works of art are freely accessible daily and transform the park into an expansive outdoor gallery.

In addition to the artistic offerings, visitors can expect a diverse culinary program. "Tenno Sushi" from Döbling serves experimental sushi, "Ragazzi, Pinsa" offers Roman pinsa and antipasti, while "XO Grill" offers smashed burgers, and "Nigls Gastwirtschaft" serves wild boar cheese sausages, currywurst, and other specialties. For a sweet or savory finish, "Die Langos Bar" offers crispy langos and creative toppings. The culinary offerings are intended to cater to a wide range of tastes and complement the artistic experience.

A host of prominent figures from business, culture, and society have announced their attendance at the opening of the "open-air" project, including representatives from the legal, film, insurance, electronics, gastronomy, politics, and art sectors. The pop-up in the Augarten promises to become a new attraction in Vienna's summer, appealing to both locals and visitors, offering a unique blend of art, enjoyment, and conviviality.
