Due to high demand, the airline Ryanair is launching an additional route pair between Vienna and Palma de Mallorca on November 1, 2022. The background is also that the scheduled flight FR489 (Palma-Vienna) is already fully booked.

The special flights will be operated as FR9460 (Vienna-Palma) or FR9461 (Palma-Vienna) with Lauda Europe's Airbus A320 stationed in Austria. The outbound flight leaves the capital at around 15:15 p.m. and will arrive in Mallorca at 17:40 p.m.

Lauda Europe's Airbus A320 will take off from Palma at around 18:15 p.m. and arrive in Vienna at 20:45 p.m. The prices are currently quite odd: the FR9460 outbound flight was on sale on the afternoon of October 7, 2022 at a price of 16,99 euros. For the return flight FR9461, 186,99 euros were charged.

This circumstance is probably due to the fact that November 1, 2022 is a holiday in Austria and this is also used as the return day. The consequence of this is that demand in the direction of Palma is significantly lower than in the direction of Vienna.
