Construction is underway again at Vienna Airport: a connecting structure is being built between Gates F3 and F32 in Terminal 36. This is intended to make it easier for passengers to reach the bus gates on the ground floor.
Terminal 3 at Vienna-Schwechat Airport also has pure bus gates. These are assigned to Schengen Area F and have the numbers F61 to F76. So far, these have only been used very rarely. The corresponding signage was only put up a few weeks ago. The “first access” is already marked accordingly and the second is currently under construction.
The bus gates on the ground floor of Terminal 3 are intended to improve the currently cramped situation at peak times. "The construction site involves an additional structural connection between the bus gates on the ground floor and the other levels with a lift to make it even easier for transfer passengers to move between the different floors in Terminal 3," an airport spokesman told Aviation.Direct.
Currently, some flights are also available from the C-bus gates of Terminal 1 processed. These can be recognized by the fact that the gate F02 is indicated and the notice appears on the display boards that you should appear at the gate 45 to 60 minutes before departure. From there a shuttle bus runs to the C-bus gates, which are structurally connected to the pier only via a connecting corridor. By the way: Before the corona pandemic, further bus gates were built under the gate star of area C, but have not yet been put into operation.
