Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The Vietnam-based low-cost airline Pacific Airlines had to stop flight operations because an agreement was reached with two lessors about the return of three Airbus A320s. It was also announced that an agreement had been reached on the payment of the outstanding leasing installments.

Pacific Airlines is a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines and has an eventful company history behind it. Most recently, Lessoren is said to have accumulated a mountain of debt amounting to $220 million. An agreement has been reached in this regard, but this also includes the return of three Airbus A320s. Since the carrier is now without a fleet, flight operations had to be stopped. Whether there will be a comeback at a later date is still completely open.
