On the morning of March 1, 2024, the Vida union and the Bord works council will invite the flying staff of Austrian Airlines to works meetings. As a precaution, the airline is canceling 112 flights.

The employee representatives will inform the flying AUA employees about current topics on Friday, March 1, 2024. This should cover working conditions, labor and service law issues as well as the issue of salaries. This is a regular works meeting and there is a legal right to hold it.

Since participation at Austrian Airlines is traditionally very large, the company assumes that there will be a significant impact on flight operations. According to their own information, they have therefore decided to cancel 112 flights as a precautionary measure. These have already been removed from sale. Management hopes that the duration will be limited to the morning of March 1, 2024.

However, the carrier cannot rule out that the cancellations could be extended. There may also be delays as an after-effect. Affected passengers should be contacted by Austrian Airlines, provided the contact details are provided in the booking. If the ticket was purchased through a travel agency, travelers should contact them. The company apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
